NoFuss Pass keeps your studying on your own device. This page explains what that means in practice.

What stays on your device

Your name (if you gave one), test date, study plan, answers, progress, saved items and settings are stored on your device only. There are no accounts and we do not keep a copy on a server.

If you delete the app or clear its data, this information is removed from your device. You can save a copy of your data from Settings and import it again later.

Sharing, your free bonus and reminders

When you share the app, your phone opens its own share sheet. The app remembers only that you shared, which page you shared from and when, on your device. We never see who you sent it to or what you sent.

The free bonus is also remembered on your device. Because there are no accounts, clearing the app’s data or installing it again on another phone starts again.

Reminders and offers are shown by your phone from information stored on your device. You can turn study reminders and “Offers” and “Tips on my phone” off in Settings, and you can stop notifications for the app in your phone’s settings.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not use advertising or tracking tools, and we do not build a profile of you.

Payments

If you buy Premium, the payment is handled by the app store (Apple or Google). We never see your card details. The store tells the app whether Premium is active.

On the phone apps we use a service called RevenueCat to check purchases. It receives a random number for your install and the store’s record of your Premium purchase. It does not receive your name, your answers or your progress.

Updates and optional features

The app works without a connection. When study content updates are switched on, the app asks our server for the latest content. That request says only which version of the app and the content you have. It does not include your name or your progress.

Crash reports are off unless you turn them on. If you do, they describe what went wrong in the app and never include your name or your answers.

Reading aloud and voice practice

Listening to a chapter uses the voice that is built into your phone. Nothing is sent to us.

Voice practice uses your phone’s own speech recognition to turn your spoken answers into text. It asks for the microphone only when you start it. NoFuss Pass never records or keeps your voice, and we never receive it. Your phone’s speech service may process what you say, as it does for any app that uses speech recognition, so read your phone maker’s privacy information if you want the details. You can always tap your answers instead.

Who the app is for

NoFuss Pass is for adults preparing for the Life in the UK test.
